Why I like Army Wives?
Posted by: adminI am glad that Army Wives is not going to say goodbye after the second season and it has announced it’s third season for 2009. From the day of it’s first airing it has been my favorite show. I love the logical drama of the show. The specialty of this show is that it is close to the real life scenario of army personnel and their families. Secondly it has given the laymen a different vision towards Army personnel’s lives. As we all honor the army jobs and have a notion that their lives must be luxurious as they get so many facilities and relaxations from government and especially army wives lead an extremely reputed life. But this show changed the year’s long notion and revealed the other side of the coin.
In the very first episode, we see that almost every army wife is facing financially crisis. An Army man Trevor has just got the true love of his life and decided to marry and to adopt her two kids, but the plans get spoiled, at first due to his poor financial condition and second time due to his deputation. The army wives who find a solution to their deteriorating financial conditions are weaving dreams of a happy life ahead but end up with mourning departures of their husbands.
Over all they lead a pretty tough life. On the other hand if we talk about their reputed lives, then we find Roxy working in a bar where once she was harassed by a drunkard and her husband was not there to support her or to rescue her. Whereas, Claudia is having grudge that her husband didn’t get promotion, because of ongoing politics in army units. Pamela had to act as surrogate mother to get some money for the family.
Do you know recently, Army Wives star cast and Creators honored the real life wives due to success of the show. As they have the opinion that tough life of these army wives and all the injustices as well as sufferings they have gone through, has motivated the creators to start such show. No doubt this rare concept differentiates this show from other drama series and made it a success.
